vPTZ Settings

Just like in "normal" digital photography, MOBOTIX cameras can zoom into images to enlarge the image, giving the user a more detailed view. This "virtual" PTZ function (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) does not rely on a mechanical pan/tilt unit with zoom lens as in classical video surveillance; instead, the camera features purely software-driven features in connection with a fixed focal length lens and a high-resolution image sensor.

Open the vPTZ Settings dialog to configure the camera's PTZ features.

Notes:

PTZ Movement Settings

Select the time and acceleration parameters that are used when loading a view or when moving to a stored position. For moving to a new click position, the camera can use one of these methods:

  • Move-to-Click Acceleration: If this option is used, the camera accelerates as it approaches the new click position. If this checkbox is not activated, the camera image moves with constant speed.
  • Load View Acceleration: Camera movement is identical to the Move-to-Click option. This parameter influences how the camera moves to a preset position.

Surround Image Settings

When defining the Surround view, the individual views are determined depending on the current (normal) view (i.e. the current view will be in the top left image window later on). The override option is supposed to ensure that a proper first configuration can be reached for most installations. In addition, this option can also be used to avoid misconfiguring the Surround image later on.

Mounting Settings

When titling a ceiling-mounted camera downward, moving past the center of the full image (camera looks down vertically) results in an upside-down image. If the Ceiling Auto Flip parameter is activated, the camera automatically swings the image around as soon as the Tilt Flip Limit is reached. The Tilt Flip Limit describes a circle around the vertical axis of the full image (0 = camera looks down vertically). You can enter these values [-90..90] (degrees).

Memorizzazione della configurazione

Click on the Set button to activate your settings and to save them until the next reboot of the camera.

Click on the Factory button to load the factory defaults for this dialog (this button may not be present in all dialogs).

Click on the Restore button to undo your most recent changes that have not been stored in the camera permanently.

Click on the Close button to close the dialog. While closing the dialog, the system checks the entire configuration for changes. If changes are detected, you will be asked if you would like to store the entire configuration permanently.
